Government direction and progress
The Indonesia–Japan JCM register publishes proposed projects, methodologies and registration activity, including solar and hydropower examples. The register is a practical starting point for understanding the mechanism; a listed precedent does not guarantee eligibility, funding or credit issuance for another project.

The business decision
Developers, site owners, technology suppliers and potential financiers need agreement on investment, monitoring costs and rights to project data and credits. The business case should remain understandable under conservative credit-price and issuance assumptions.
The people using the solution
Local benefits should be stated in operational terms such as reliable energy, jobs or reduced pollution, with responsibilities for consultation and complaints. Credit calculations alone do not demonstrate these benefits.

Screen a concrete efficiency or clean-energy project for a relevant methodology and feasible monitoring plan. Identify gaps before committing to validation, and compare economics with and without credit revenue.
Questions a useful project should resolve
- What baseline and methodology fit the activity?
- Who owns the data and maintains monitoring equipment?
- Does the investment work if issuance is delayed?
These are opportunities to investigate, not confirmed market demand. A field study should test the customer, operating conditions and commercial assumptions.
